How it works

A session in three steps

From deck to interpretation – the flow is deliberately lean. You steer, your coachee experiences.

Choose decks & invite

For each session, decide which of your decks are used and how many cards are drawn per deck. Your coachee joins via an invite link – no account, no installation.

Draw live at the right moment

You release each draw. The cards visibly shuffle through the stack – your coachee's click-moment selects the card. Fairly shuffled server-side, in real time on both screens.

Interpret privately & keep it

For every revealed card, only you open the almanac with your interpretation – the coachee never sees it. At the end you export the spread as an elegant PNG to hand over.

Your own card sets

Create any decks – tarot, power animals, archetypes, your own question cards. A PNG per card, a custom back per deck, an almanac per card or imported from Markdown.

Real-time for two

Coach and coachee sit at the same table – live over a server-authoritative session. No reloads, no jitter: one click, both see the same thing.

Private almanac

Your interpretation texts are kept structurally separate and delivered only to the coach. The coachee's screen never gets to see them – no peeking.

Slot-machine draw

On release, the server cryptographically shuffles the remaining stack. The pointer travels, the click lands – fair, traceable, with a real shuffle and flip effect.

An elegant card table

Green velvet with a golden rim as the playing surface. Cards glide, flip up via 3D rotation and lie there as if on a real table.

PNG export

The finished spread – velvet, golden frame, card images, labels and timestamp – is rendered by the browser as a PNG to download. A keepsake for the coachee.

German & English

The coach sets the session language; the coachee's screen follows automatically. Outside a session there's a local switcher.

Data-minimal by design

All fonts, scripts and images are local – no external requests, no trackers, no cookie-banner circus. Your coachee needs no account.

Privacy is built in, not bolted on

CardCoaching is built so that as little data as possible is collected – and what matters stays private.

No trackers, no third-party cookies

This landing page loads no external scripts, fonts or images. There's no analytics and no cookie banner, because there's nothing to consent to.

Coachee without an account

Your coachee needs no registration – a signed invite link is enough. Fewer accounts mean less personal data.

The almanac stays with the coach

Interpretation texts are kept technically separate and delivered only to the coach role. The coachee's screen cannot retrieve them.

Content local, server in your hands

Decks, cards and almanac live in your own SQLite database. When self-hosting, you decide where the data lives.
